5 Centimeters Per Second

Anime "5 Centimeters Per Second" is Makoto Shinkai supervision, romantic Anime of the CoMix Wave Inc. production. The Manga version is published serially in "Afternoon" (Kodansha) by Makoto Shinkai drawing from July, 2010. As for the book, two volumes are published. It was shown as Anime for theater in March, 2007.
This work is constructed in "Cherry Blossom", "Cosmonaut", Part 3 of "5 Centimeters Per Second".
"Cherry Blossom"
Primary schoolchild, Takaki Touno and Akari Shinohara of Tokyo had "the special thought not to understand to another person" for each other. However, Akari changes school with elementary school graduation to Tochigi, and it is gone to meet since then. On summer one day when Takaki enters the junior high school, and a half year passed, a letter arrives from Akari of Tochigi. Two people who come to repeat correspondence triggered by it. However, in winter of the age, it was decided that Takaki changed school to Kagoshima this time. It is long desperately in Kagoshima and Tochigi. "I may never meet" … Takaki which I thought so of makes up its mind to go to Akari to meet. However, on the day of the promise, we had large snow in Kanto. The original plan is largely out of order by the delay of the train, and only time only goes by cruelly … . I draw reencounter of Takaki and Akari and parting 1st with progress at time (approximately 28 minutes).
